Porsche Car Show in March/April
Hi Everyone - I got my new-to-me '84 Carrera last fall and have it ready for a road trip with my wife down the coast from BC to California in the next month or so. I am looking to find one or two big Porsche car shows/swap meets in California in that time. Any suggestions?
Thx |

LA Lit and Toy Show is held an LAX (the airport) area hotel on March 1st. All Porsche.
Not as big as Car & Coffee in IRvine on Sat mornings, but there's a Supercar Sunday event held on (duh) Sunday in Woodland Hills (suburb of LA) every week, also. The big meet is the last Sunday of the month (200-300 cars of all sorts), but even on the other Sundays at least 40-50 cars show up. pcar911 (I think) on this forum of the Early S group organizes a monthly Porsche gathering (20-30 cars?) in Montrose (another suburb of LA). And the Peterson Museum in LA has a monthly European car gathering on the roof of its parking lot. You get 2 for 1 entry into the museum afterwards. Last Sunday of the month.

Me and my son went to the parade in Salt Lake a few years ago when we just bought the 930 and it was a blast! We went on our own and hooked up with a group of some really nice folks from Boise ID. Absolutely well worth it! And as already mentioned, Dave from TRE motorsport told be there is a huge swap in the LA area soon. Almost worth flying there to check it out. The 930 is still in hibernation. As you know they gravel the road here with large boulders... |

On the way
Unfortunately had a family issue that delayed us so here we are in southern Washington tonight. Left White Rock at 3:30. So we might have to settle for a run down the Oregon coast as Anaheim would mean many many hours straight down the I-5 in order to make it for Sunday.
Thanks for the info - it's all interesting. The Washington/Oregon meets are intriguing for future reference. Much appreciated. |
