So I was about to drive to Plano for Cars and Coffee this morning, and I notice the turn signal and taillight on the driver's side are not working when I had my headlights on. The turn signal and taillight do light up however when I apply the brakes or use the turn signals, but they don't stay lighted when my headlights are on. How can I easily fix this myself?
Thanks,

It might just be a bad connection from the car to the bulb. I know i've had to go in [with the battery disconnected] and pry the little copper prong outward with a thin and long screwdriver from time to time. Seems to solve my problem for a bit...

no.
dont remember if its the left or right, but there is a diode in the circuit for one side. as an electronics tech i dont know why. mine did something very similar. would work one way but not the other. anyway, the diode is right under the dash. i removed mine and checked it and it was fine. put it back in and all is good. perhaps just a bad connection.

the diode is right under the dash. pull it down and just remove all the connections and connect it back and see if that fixes it.

Okay, I'll probably try doing that. I rarely drive my Slant at night, and it's usually on my way to Cars and Coffee early in the morning, so I'm really in any hurry to do that fix.
