What I would do in your situation is contact Pacific Oil Cooler and see what they say. They have a long standing, excellent reputation for work on Porsche oil coolers and tanks.

Pacific Oil Cooler Service, Inc. - Home

If you look under "services - automotive" they even have a pic of an oil cooler with stripped threads that it looks like they put a new fitting on, so no doubt they could repair your tank.

If you can't get it solved locally, PM me and I can send you either the end of an oil cross over tube which is the same size or I can cut out the fitting from an old dissected tank. See post #21 in
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/778690-oil-tank-question-2.html
You pay the postage or if you are planning to go to The Hershey Swap meet in April we can meet up there.
Cheers
Johan

I don't see a fitting on that oil tank for the turbo scavenge pump return line. Did that one come from a different car?

ertech, this is a better solution for you so I'll hold off sending my fitting for now.

Braze that on and it will probably better than before with the wrench flats around the base.
