AN Hard Lines on 3.2 Intake
I'm starting the phase of fabricating fuel lines for my EFI conversion and I'm going to be using AN fittings and lines for everything.
Is it ok to run an aluminum or stainless hard line from one fuel rail to another with the 3.2 intake? I'm trying to avoid the big loop of fuel hose that is typically routed across the fan. Is the 3.2 intake split because it needs to allow for expansion or was it made that way to make it easier to cast the part? |
No... You need a flexible line in between to allow for expansion and vibrations. Just run a AN fitting at each end and make a hose to connect the two. I typically run a single feed line to each rail and then crossover at the rear to the regulator and return from the regulator at the other end.
