Bello crashed his car on the dragstrip
Don't know any details other than he says he's retiring according to Facebook.
Lost control in 4th. Looks like he was spinning every gear. Must have been a poorly prepped track or something else. |

Been following the post on facebook. I think he spun like that at the Texas Mile once, considering the speed he must have been doing at the end of the 1/4, the damage doesn't look that bad IMO. Easy for me to say though, hope he doesn't retire.

Whoaaa!
at the top end fastest part of the run , no track prep , hot sun , lot of tire spin . Sorry to see this but lot of horse power can scare you sometimes . Give him a few days to clean his pants out maybe he will change his mind . Hate to see him go... it was cool to see a Porsche out run most cars at the track.

Man that blows..but at least he wasn't hurt. The car can be fixed. Whatever decision he chooses, I wish him the best. He truly has nothing left to prove.

It is not a terrible track!!, very sticky surface, the fastest cars in the import world are breed in there, the problem is that it was not prepped for this kind of event from a roll, the surface temps yesterday were at 130 degrees F*, so firstly Tito did not did a burn out before staging (he should!), secondly, he did a few passes before this without a hicup, so this things happen in racing, you got to read right the track, no excuse! this was just a racing inccident, no more no less.,cheers.

Yep, he probably thought that because the track was very hot he did not need it, wrong assumption, there were lots of very fast cars running without any issues, as said before, got to "read" the track correctly.

Slicks don't work without a burnout, no matter track temps. Are you sure he didn't do one?

I was present! Did not see him in all his turns do one, he was on Hoosier Drags. His max speed of the day was 158mph., the top speed of the day was hold by a Supra with 173mph., they rolled up to 40mph and then nailed, the end of the run(finish line) was at 1500ft., cheers.
