Forget it... I've repaired it (glue, silicone, sawn, steppled, 3M adhesive) many times and never held after few heat cycles. BUT, if u make it work after all, pls let us know the details of the repair and the name of the adhesive you used.

I looked at mine yesterday and saw that all four corners have been glued. Had my car for 12 years and never noticed. It's held great. Not sure yet, but I think it's clear silicone. I'll take a closer and report back.

you might try Super Bonder by Permatex (I think).
I used it years ago to repair a cut in a rubber ATV tire that I was too cheap to replace and if worked fine as well as the two other cut my son made in the tire. the tire held air pressure (under 10 pounds) for the next two years. Lorne M. |
