1 bar spring and adjustable wur

Hello,
I've installed a 1 bar spring and the afr was 10:1 i adjusted the wur to get 12 :1 under boost and now the pressure switch cut off my fuel pump. Can you explain this?

download manual and look for page 87

it is possible that the overboost sensor may be your problem ... when does this happen and how?

The pressure switch cuts off at 1.1bar, if you are experiencing overboost then the switch would activate. Overboost is a very common by product of many aftrermarket exhaust systems due to changes in pressure differential and poorly designed waste gate plumbing. Defeat the switch and see where your boost level is. Obviously be ready to get off the throttle if it goes to the moon.

The more I cleaned up my plumbing (new seals and gaskets) the more issue I had with boost spike. I put some shorty headers and one of rarly's mufflers and she's a different car, but I see 1.1 to 1.2 boost spikes in all gears. I'm considering going back to the inefficient OE HEs to see if it eliminates the problem... For now...

When I went short tube headers my boost came on too high also, put in an .8 spring in waste gate to solve problem think a .7 would be perfect. That will get you 1 bar at the gauge/in engine. Stock exhaust uses the waste gate better than short tube headers. Brian's system puts the waste gate in a serious position also.

My car has dansk headers now i've installed the 0.8 bar spring and the problem is gone. I did'nt know that the pressure switch closes at 1.1 i thought it was 1.2 or 1.3. So with the original spring i might be already close to 1 bar correct? When the switch closed i was almost out of the windshield😄😄
