Does anyone repair these?

I have a broken fuel line which runs from the top of the fuel dist to the wur. half of this line is plastic and has broken just above the fitting at the wur. Part #93011030200 which I ordered from our host. They have put the order on hold because it will take weeks to get one from Germany + extra charges. Looking for an easier way. Any Ideas?
Can I just cut off the bad part and push it back onto the fitting?

Len does great work. Highly recommended.

I would never, ever repair a cracked fuel line, especially one over the motor that is over 30 yrs old. If that breaks while driving, the chances of fuel pouring down the motor and onto your headers and igniting the whole car are just too great to chance it.

That is what I did, heat it up with a hair dryer before installation or you won't get it to go.

Thanks everyone for your advice. The brain trust has supplied me with several leads and I am sure I can resolve this problem quickly without making a parts run to Germany.

Normally I would agree a likewise sing praises about Len. However, I'm not to pleased with Len right now.

I sent him a similar line from a 3.0 CIS to have him remake in braided zink. This was the beginning of Nov. I still don't have the line back and I've had very limited communication with him, because he doesn't follow-up. When we do make contact its one excuse after another. I've even suggested that he send the line back along with the materials and I'll get it done elsewhere because I'm tired of waiting!

I'm easy to deal with.. and rarely do I publically air my frustration with someone providing a service... but I have a fresh build that I can't install until this line is on and of course its NLA.

Don't get me wrong, I've used Len in the past with excellent service and a great product.. this time its just a f***ing mess!

Sorry to hear that, Paul. That's unfortunate, and definitely uncharacteristic.

My local SC bud John just got a set of Len's F to R fuel lines from him, quick and easy.

Something's obviously up with your situation, good luck in getting it resolved quickly / amicably.

Mike, I'd get your line fixed properly, STAT... Jeff's portrayal above is SAGE...

Not so sure about ol' Len. Even with the part #, 4 photos and the description he seems unfamiliar with this hose and wants me to send it to him for inspection.

Thanks klefroid but another great peli'friend offered up a good used one and he is a lot closer than g'many!
I think I will figure out a way to fix my old one for a spare. I may even send it to Len since I won't be in a hurry. Have been thinking of a longer line so I could relocate my wur for better access. I also found an old post where Len has made some of these.

They are M12 Banjos at the FD with a M12 Female at the Injector. The Banjo Bolt is M8x1.00 thread pitch. Barbs on the tube end are one-way. Once inserted they will not rotate or come apart. If they rotate they have failed. Only way to separate them is with heat, as in melting the plastic. No other way is possible for risk of damage to the actual barb.

The original lines having a rubber sheath are not hose but Polyamid tube with a rubber coating that is no longer available in this size.

The aftermarket lines above in post #11 show a crimp sleeve and a crimp next to the fitting. It may have a unique type of banjo designed for this method of securing the tube. However, trying to clamp the Polyamid tube is not effective, and the barbs are not designed for soft rubber hose & any kind of clamp, even the good Oetiker ones.

Hope this helps.

Len

I sent him an email back in October with a question and he replied in January without an answer.
I guess now I'm fresh meat!
