Flywheel bolts
So, I have my motor on a stand in order to replace the clutch as well as bunch of other "while your in there" stuff.
My clutch and flywheel actually look to be in really good shape. I pretty sure the slippage was from to the recent power mods. So I'm replacing it with a Kep stage 1 The flywheel looks good but I think it would be wise to pull it off and have it resurfaced. Anyway, here's my question. Is it foolish to reuse the FW bolts ? I'm on a low budget but I don't wanna save $125 now only to have to spend thousands later. I am a cheap bastard but...

I recall reading that the FW bolts are of the stretch variety, so I didn't re-use mine.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER reuse flywheel bolts. They are deformation type. Use once only.

I got new ones in the clutch kit from turbokraft. Maybe call him to see what his cost if you haven't already? Had no idea they were expensive, let alone crazy expensive like that...
With a new friction disc, I would imagine resurfacing the flywheel is a good idea, no? I just got mine resurfaced and posted it in my build thread.

This is interesting...most if not all folks say that flywheel bolts should be replaced. I did some research and came across this. Keep in mind that this applies to 9 bolt flywheel...not 6 bolt flywheel. It's best to check for yield but who measure each bolt length before and after installation?

When Steve Weiner tells me to replace them - and not on a motor that he is touching - then gives me a set, gratis...that tells me all I need to know.
