Well that was easy, it won't work. Had a nice chat with Barry at IAE. The early dizzys spin c/w the later spin cc/w, The 3.3 crank has the stock gear and the short block is assembled. Oh well.

IAE's got a screw loose. I sent him a dizzy years ago and he charged me $300 just to look at it, then gave me a quote of $1200 to rebuild it. I didn't pay the ransom and never got that dizzy back and it had a brand new vac pot. My story, hope yours is better.

Supertec confirmed the distributor wouldn't work (engine rebuild thread). IAE quoted me at least $600 to rebuild the 3.0 dizzy, $1200 for a rebuilt 3.3. Thought the 3.0 dizzy was at least worth $600 in it's current needs to be rebuilt condition. Then called me later with an interest to buy the 3.0 if he could get it at a good price.
Since the 3.0 won't work, I listed the distributor, coil, 8 pin cdi & loom on ebay. The hpv-1 won't work either, so will be selling that off, oh well.

Hi Harold,
Curious. Why won't the HPV-1 work in your application?

FWIW,......I've done business with Barry @ IAE for MANY years without any kind of issue. He's been nothing but a gentleman and a totally ethical individual with me.

If I may kindly suggest, why don't you just call Barry and work out whatever problem you have?
