77 Turbo project finished !

Well, here she is. Hold off on the Carrera decal comments, just trying it out. I have the "PORSCHE" decals on the way.

I think it looks pretty good and it scoots. 453 HP to the wheels, short gears and weighs in at 2115 lbs. When the boost hits at 4500 rpm you need to back off a bit or the hoosiers spin all the way to redline. Thanks to Brian for working with my shop working out the last PITA fueling issues, and for his awesome headers/exhaust/turbo. Chris at Turbo Craft for some hard to get parts, his intercooler kit, coming up/making a trick 6 bolt RSR type flywheel. Both great guys and great service. Most of all, the guys who built the motor and car, Kevin and the Guys at KMW Motorsports who put up with my BS and constant presence. This is my second hotrod build with them and about to hand over my GT3RS for some cool mods. They are a great race shop.

That is such a great build.

I am trying to figure out how you managed to take out that much weight. I guess I need to go back and read the build thread.

It will be a stellar performer for sure.

Well, it sounds like there are some nay sayers which is cool. I and the shop worked hard on the weight cutting as well as putting a small fortune into the motor alone
($40K+). As far as the weight the car was a Euro no AC, one side mirror no sunroof car to start. all the usual weight cutting was done, plus fiber glass front and rear bumpers, lexan rear three, PMBs alloy rear brakes, no antenna, wipers, heat, no insulation what so ever, seats, RS carpet, Hoosier tires which are light, 15 inch rims, I have no clue what ER and after market suspension parts save, but the ounces add up to pounds. The weight shown is what the car weighed when done.
The HP is right off the dyno... I did not hold back on the motor build starting with a Chambone crank which is either 4lbs or 6 lbs lighter than the stock crank, cant remember which right now, GT3 oil pump, pauter rods, 993SS cams, extreme did the heads 38mm intake and Exh, LN jugs, true 7:65 to 1 compression, twin plugged, solid tensioners, Brian's headers and K27/29 at 1 Bar, I am using Meth injection and a whole boat load of experimenting with fueling, modded fuel heads, euro fuel lines, different fuel heads (thanks Brian). im leaving out a lot of the small details, like case work, Supertech studs, 908 tins, etc, etc but that all adds up.

IMR Merlin.... Here is an early Dyno for you at 1 bar (not 1.8) while we were dicking with fueling/AFR issues, is shows 448 HP to the wheels and this is before the final fuel head and intro of Meth injection. I will get a pic of the final dyno. I have a good shop doing my builds .....
