Oil thermostats

Hi,

I have done a search but for some reason can't find any info on the 930's oil thermostat?? Or more specifically if there are two on the car??

I have an 88 ROW car, I know of the one inside the wheel arch adjacent to the oil tank but i'm sure I've read somewhere that there is a second?

The reason I ask is that i'm experiencing high operating temperatures in the car. I live in the UK and whilst it's been a bit warm this week it's still nothing compared to what our US cousin experience day in, day out!!

I have an oil cooler in the front wing/fender but no fan. I checked the temperature on both lines running from the wheel arch stat right along the car to the front cooler and both temps were within a degree of each other and getting cooler the closer to the front of the car I went, which suggests the wheel arch stat is working fine?

I just need to find the other one and check it?

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

Thanks.

Thanks Ficke!!
As it's located there I think i'll wait until I pull the engine in the autumn to fix the oil leaks, fit new sound pad etc.

Quattrorunner,
I didn't think the UK would be hot enough to warrant fitting a fan to the oil cooler??
Maybe I was wrong!!
