Help with throttle linkage, 3.2 carrera manifold.

Hi
I use a stock 3.2 manifold on my 930, throttle body not rotated. I am using the 3.2 throttle body and the stock 930 linkage / bell crank on the rear of the motor.

I have a rigged up but the throttle has an overcentre feel like almost all the movement at the initial tip in, makes it hard to take off without burning the clutch!

I think I have the bell crank on the rear of the motor all wrong for the carrera manifold/TB. Should you use parallel bell crank arms when using a stock 3.2 manifold/TB? Mine is currently offset like on the 930 and I had to lengthen the long rod from the gearbox to reach it.

I have it all apart now and am able to fab up the bell crank in any orientation but wanted to check with those that may have been through this. I am trying to find stock pics of the 3.2 but from what I can tell the arms are parallel on the bell crank but still looking....

Thanks.

Thanks Tippy, the pics help. That's a big throttle body, 4"?

Can you please shoot one of your linkage (bit that bolts onto rear of motor with the crank arms on it). Cheers.

~3"/75mm.

Let me see what I can get later, might be tough with the air filter in the way.

b930, I did the same as you back in 2006. I recall having to cut the end off the bell crank and turn it around so the ball aligned with the rod, and change the angle.

edit: I also added some material in order to have a throttle stop.
