turbo 3.2L: manifold config

I am turbo charging my stock '86 3.2L engine. background here: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/908154-i-think-i-am-making-leap.html

I am preparing to install my intake manifold and just want to get some conformation and/or feedback from the group on my setup. Take a look at these pics:

I've got the line for the BOV as close to the throttle plate as possible. I had read that this line needs to be solely for the BOV and not to tee anything to it, as it could affect BOV response time. So for the boost gauges, I used the vacuum port that was used for the boosted brakes. I believe this location is far enough from the intake valve on cylinder #3 to give accurate/steady boost/vacuum readings.

Comments, advice?

thanks,

~Chris

I recall a diagram when researching the "Q" BOV that had a single line to the valve, and I thought it had stated a dedicated line.

How about the config at the back of the throttle body? Does anybody see anything wrong with the way I have everything plugged up/in?

Hmmmm, did a quick search and people feel this is necessary.

I don't, and don't understand why the belief??

Anyways, mine has about 2' of hose after T-ing off a shared nipple. It opens just fine and quick.

Now, I like to keep my brake booster hose virgin.

it might have something to do with reducing the volume in the system? faster to create a vacuum?

anyway, do you have an opinion or any insight into the FPR/damper line and the others coming off the back of the throttle body?

i'd like to put the manifold on tomorrow morning and dont want to have to mess around back there to fix something i did wrong.

I switch my vacuum lines around a lot. Also have 3 additional nipples under the TB. Everything has been switched around, T-eed off, paired up, etc., and no discernible difference.

Chris, so you are no longer going to use a vacuum boosted brake master (big change for the negative, if so)? I ask because you wrote " . . . port that was used for boosted brakes", so am curious.

The car is a '76. It doesn't have assist brakes, so no loss of functionality there.

I'm more concerned at this point about the little switch do dad on the back of the throttle body, and whether or not I have the damper plumbed up correctly for this modification. I think I should be good to go at this point, unless I am not understanding something correctly.

hey, do you know how to get in touch with that dude that was banned for some type of outrageous, obscene behavior? He said he wanted to talk to me about something protomotive.

If you are going to "efi" the motor then the only line I like to run "unteed" is the map reference line,

Are there two fuel pressure regulators on there? Looks like a Bosch one on the end of the left fuel rail and an aftermarket one on the right one. Also looks kinda like a little check valve in a vacuum line on the very right side of the picture about half way down.

Looks like the intake manifold was sandblasted or media blasted with something and sprayed with clear engine enamel. I did that in 1996 to a 3.5 liter BMW EFI throttle body and intake plenum with six longer 320i intake runners.
After sand blasting and washing in water I sprayed it with Plastikote clear engine enamel and the finish looked like yours.

...after a couple years the clear turned yellow and after 5+ years it was peeling off and corroding in places. Looked like crap.
Florida humidity probably had something to do with that.
