Another 930 wheel picture thread... sorry!
Guys/gals my customer/friend Mark just picked up an '84 930 from me through my bike shop. Where else can one trade in an RG500 Gamma Suzuki against a grey market 930? Has it ever been done before?
Well enough of the grandstanding. This car is a black on black coupe in pretty darn good mechanical condition but with a few cosmetic areas of concern. Perfect for the machinist do-it-yourselfer like Mark. Anyway, it no longer has the OE wheels (sadly) bur Mark finds those ugly anyway. It has some sort of turbo-twist wheels that he does not care for either. Yes these wheels/tires on the car now will probably be for sale at some point soon if anyone has interest. So... please show us your black (if possible) 930 models with after market wheels that are NOT Fuchs or Turbo-twist style. He would like some sort of classic or at least semi-classic look with a dished rear and if possible give us some sizes with your reccomendations. He would like the wheel wells filled out as much as possible with of course no rubbing. Here are a couple pics of the car after being in storage a couple years with zero prep/detailing and all the dings still in it. Oh and a crappy old Suzuki motorcycle for good measure. Thanks! ![]() ![]()

These are RH 3.6. I think they are 18x8 and 18x10 but I have not measured them just yet. I will soon as I need new tires.
it has been mentioned that resting the elbow on the door is bad form on the track.

If I hadn't just seen my car out in the parking lot, I'd swear that's my car
. I have some black center Kodiak wheels on order, so I'll be getting rid of the super heavy aftermarket twists. I've had some wild rides on a friend's RZV500 and it was stock. I can't imagine what a 4 cylinder 500cc 2 stroke bike that's been hopped up is like.

Thanks for all the replies boys... keep 'em coming!
Mark (930 owner) is a picky little b***ard! I suggested FM-5's and he was kind of ho-hum. Heck I even know Mr. Fikse and I can get him somewhat of a deal on a set. I bought this bike from Mr. Fikse himself: http://www.redlabelmoto.com/details.asp?srID=191 I'm hoping Mark will register soon and reply here himself so we can get him pointed in the right direction.

Red 930...sure why not! As a matter of fact any body color works for me.
However.....Gold wheels...not so much!! Besides, I have not yet even warmed up to black center section wheels, and body colored wheels are....soooo...not my cup of tea. I have done a little research, and am finding very limited selections. Damn I hate compromises! Mark |
