Thanks!
It is not clear where the intensive tank goes in the trunk. Can You tell me that? |
on my '81 930 my tank resembles the one in the diagram.
the pump for the headlight washer system is mounted on the plastic tank. the pump for the windshield is mounted by 3 rubber tabs in the front trunk Rubber Plug Part #: 914-628-741-00-M100 next to the battery on the "wall" where the trunk latch is. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1475525177.jpg |
i see your mounting tabs are actually still on your pump.
i would suggest you test both pumps before you start your project |
Thanks. I have found the location of the tank. I only need to find its connector now :D

If your windshield washer pump won't run, you can take the pump apart and clean it. Usually the idler gear gets stuck on its shaft due to some corrosion.

If it doesn't fire up straight away after whacking it, disconnect power. It will overheat trying to go. You don't need any water supply to try the pump. It is just a gear pump and the gears get stuck - as noted earlier. Luckily they made them so you can pull apart. Something I haven't tried is squirting some WD40 type oil down one of the ports and see if that frees things. You will want to flush it out before installing - smeary windscreen otherwise. Alan |
