Whats the difference between these two turbos

The first one is what I removed when starting this project. Its been on since the 90's. It was installed with a B&B exhaust system and has a "stock like" output side that mates with the stock boost pipe and intercooler. No sign that it was welded, the housing was cast as is.

The second one is what I just installed.

Looks like the exact replacement, 7200 series.

The top one is an original equipment part with 3072G compressor wheel and 11cm2 turbine housing. The other one is an aftermarket part, and it probably has a different turbine housing size. Can you look into the turbine exhaust inlet and see what number is stamped there?

Turbo probably has to come back off so I can bend the turbo bracket slightly as my RHS exhaust tip is about 5" rear of the LHS side. I'll look then. Where is the # I'm looking for? I'll post a pic of both.

The top placard shows that it originally had/has the most common driver friendly #11 hot housing and the bottom placard doesn't say which hot housing, both k27,s.

Hot housings 9,11, or 13 is what I've heard is avail.

If yours is like most of them the turbo bracket has nothing to do with positioning the muffler or exhaust pipe locations.. the exhaust headers are in total control of that.
The support bracket just takes some of the weight of the turbocharger and muffler if you have one which are held up by the cylinder heads which are held on by the head studs and located in place by the cylinders.

Without a turbo support bracket the head studs and case threads for them would be under more weight load, stress, and vibration than they were meant to deal with.

This is a RarlyL8 dual outlet Hooligan. The RHS tip is about 5" further to the rear of the car than the LHS, which is almost touching the body work in front of it.

The support bracket is the stock bracket with new holes drilled. It seemed to me that by slightly changing the angle of the bend in the bracket I'd make a significant change out at the tips of the exhaust. That bracket angle fixes where there turbo is and the angle of the turbo body and its exit flange. The flange angle fixes the angle of the exhaust with respect to the vehicle. I don't see how adjusting anything to do with the headers would effect this.

The muffler has a few adjustment points. Email me a few pictures and we'll figure out what needs tweaked to get those tailpipes lined up correctly.

On some of the K27's, the turbine housing size can be seen on the outside, to the left of the foundry mark:

All of them have the size cast into the turbine housing exhaust inlet, as shown below:
