Chain Tensioners
Hello, anyone has any tricks on how replace the chain tensioner without messing up the cam timing?
I assume I can wire the chains together with some tension, but I'm curious if there's other alternatives? ( Homemade remedies)

i pulled the right side off to replace the gasket behind the cam cover. I remember thinking that the timing would not change when just removing the tensioner, but I think you can clamp the sprocket to the chain box to be sure. does not need much force.

Hi Juan - if you're still looking for a guide on this, check out the DIY tech article link from our site below. We also have a DIY on upgrading the chain tensioner, but I thought that this checklist would be more helpful for you. If you still have any questions or need details, feel free to post a Comment just below the article and someone will get back to you with more detailed info. Best of luck!
