pressure pipe long neck i/c

looking for a picture of the correct pressure pipe for an period aftermarket 76 3.0l turbo long neck intercooler. what i told the pressure pipe and the ic were sold as a kit. My car had a period long neck i/c with a k27 turbo.my pressure pipe looks to have been homemade and is not the best fitting it is held to the turbo and the i/c with silicone couplings and turbo band clamps no rings . i was hoping some one could post a picture of one so i know what im looking to reproduce or purchase .

Thanks

I don't know the particulars for 1976 model, but on later cars with the boost recirculation manifold/BOV...and for those that remove said manifold...a long neck IC Is required to bridge the resulting larger gap to the throttle body yet still utilizes the stock up-pipe between the turbo and the IC.
So search for a stock up pipe. There is nothing wrong with using silicone hose couplers, in fact they are probably more dependable and less prone to failure vs o'rings.

Here is a picture from my '76 930/51 which has the RUF aftermarket IC. I think the silicone couplings and turbo band clamps with no rings would be better than the o rings if set up right.

Thanks i believe the early ones were a little different they didn't use the o-ring. The fabricated one i have looks to be a little short and possibly doesn't have enough surface area to seal with the silicone coupling sufficiently plus its cone shaped so its difficult to get a clamp to sit correctly . pretty sure that's where my air leak is.

my i/c is a little different the top and bottom are set up for no O-ring.. A 1 piece silicone cone would be ideal im only running on .8 bar spring. i probably just need to remove my pressure pipe and crack out the tig welder and extend the cone a 1/2 inch. but between the angle and the contour easier said than done.

If you have the ANDIAL / Garrettson intercooler for the 3.0 Turbo Carrera, this is what the original fabricated charge pipe would look like:

Two pieces of straight tubing and a tapered section in the middle made from rolled sheet aluminum. Silicone couplers were used on each end.
Never mind this was a full-width version, the inlet pipes were the same.

My solution was to get a silicone hose from jay20hose.com that's made for it. I have one on mine, they have numerous sizes inlet and outlet formed hoses, I used a 2.5" by 3" 45 degree 11" legs and cut it to fit, works perfectly
Part number is: F4C250300.1111UT for mine, you probably have a different turbo side ID.
You will have to measure your turbo outlet, mine is a k27 hybrid, and the intercooler inlet to make sure you get the right one. Mine is 2.5" on one end and 3" on the other end. It's similar to a '94 3.6 turbo factory hose.

The only problem is i dont think they make the 45 bend pipes with a reducer end.

Yes, the 45 degree bend pipes are reduced on one end. The one I bought is 3"on one end, the other end is 2.5". They make various sizes, so you would have to measure the turbo outlet and the intercooler inlet to see what sizes are needed.
