COA says ornamental Painting-Black
I just received a COA from PNA for my 1978 euro 930. Everything on the COA is correct and makes sense...except the ornamental painting. I have seen this on a 1974 Carrera Targa I have, its the funky 911 decal across most of the front hood. Does anyone know what this should be on a 930? Thanks for any help...

I would guess the Turbo stripe down the sides

I haven't seen it described as "ornamental painting" on COA, but what I suspect it's referring to is the exterior window trim pieces. On ROW/Euro 930s these were black (I believe powdercoated or anodized actually rather than paint), on US 930s they were typically chrome. I think US you could have black as an option.
First picture pictures is my '77 930 which was originally a German market car which has the black trim. Second picture shows the chrome trim on another car. ![]()

If it had the Turbo stripes, it would be denoted as "Turbo Designation - Black(or White)"
