1969 + 3.3
I've had these parts sitting around for some time now while on a hiatus from wrenching on p-cars but now it's time to get going. The foundation will be exactly whatever is sitting on my shop floor, emphasis on whichever parts are lightest. The 69T donated its suspension to a T which was more worthy, will swap out the steel x-member and trailing arms for later aluminum units, early S aluminum calipers front also also adapted to the rear along with skinny S vented rotors. Got a 3.2 intake manifold but its on a complete motor which I hate to pilfer but seeing Pat's creation with SC intake reminded me I've A set of those runners and air box. Sounds strange but why not.
Started today cleaning up a pair of bilstein struts, raising spindles, paint. Long ways to go. |

Niiice. That's a great project! I dig the turbo flares, but part of me wants it to be a narrow body with that engine in it!! Looking forward to watching the build unfold. Glad to see you're back wrenching. Wrenching therapy is good for the soul

I like it . Is that turbo attached to an SC engine? It looks sort of 930-ish.

Flaired body on early base chassis gives you a really light car. Really light doesn't require excessive brakes for street duty.
Use the 3.0L intake runners and a fabricated center section. Strap on the extra fueling and cooling needed and boost the hell out of it. Looks like an interesting project |

It's a 930 engine Pat, I stripped off all the cis/intake so I could decide what I wanted to do for an intake manifold, after seeing your motor I decided to cut to the chase and throw the SC runners on. I'll copy your fuel rails if you don't mind.
Marty, you're reading my mind, light weight brakes are all I'll need, the same goes for anything else, my only stipulation is I'm not going to throw cash at it, only a better turbo, efi, and a couple other odds and ends. I've literally got everything else I need right here. Hmmm turbo.... wheres that Brian guy... |

Nice. We used to build little "junk cars" all the time, with the "junk" that was lying around the shop. Best "junk" engine was an 1835 VW with an old Rajay turbo, no wastegate, making 235 HP on the Stuska dyno.
I can let you know where I got the rails, he may still have the machining specs. Else, I can measure them for you.
