Omg!
|
Cool. So presumably a '79 3.3 930 motor modified by RUF and a RUF transmission (5 speed modified 930?)? What turbo does it have?
|
I believe RUF used the 7006, at least that is what is on mine.
another thing you will notice is RUF does not use a BOV. not sure why. I added one to my car. I understand not having one can damage a turbo. when I had mine rebuilt the shaft WAS bad. |
Hi, in deed it is a modified 930 shortbell tranny now to 5 speed.
Turbo is a KKK K27 |
OMG what is this you want to fix your car, first of all, it was not fit in a car very heavy engine if its fuel consumption will be increased I saw the same engine in car rental
|
Early Audi turbos (500 turbo and 200 turbo 10v) didn't have one either. I have many miles on most of them without turbo trouble.

$40.k assuming everything works

Shame the intercooler is pretty dinged up, but a really good aluminum craftsman can fix that up a lot. Or maybe Ruf still has access to the cores and can weld a new core in it. No recirculating BOV -- Ruf never fit them, and the factory didn't use them on the 930S engines, either, even though they fit them on the 1986 944 Turbo. Highly recommended as the early K27s and K29s had standard threads on the compressor shaft and the compressor nut can come loose if the compressor backspins as it is forcibly slowed down with the throttle shut. It comes off, then gets ingested by the compressor... Easy to retrofit a BOV, recommended. |

The shell was and still might be for sale in Florida. It is twisted good and would need major $ to save. I could pm sellers number if interested.
