245 rear tires on an 8" wheel vs a 9" wheel help
Would a 9" wheel make the 245 much wider than an 8" rear wheel?

Sidewall to sidewall distance will increase so more of the outer edges of the tread will contact the road. That results in a little bit wider contact patch.
If you're taking corners fast you should notice a little more grip with good tires. Only downside i can think of is bigger tires cost more and steering becomes a little harder while parking |

Yes the 9" wheel will fill out and look better/fatter than the 8" wheel. That is the combo I have on the front of my 930.

Nothing else changed.. they'll look around a 1/4 to 3/8" wider depending on tire brand.
