success

I don't seem to be able to scroll back more than 3 pages. Wanted to post follow up on my initial enquiry about fuel flow rates. Had issues getting enough fuel at top end. 5500rpm=AFR of 12.5 and climbing fast.
So after all the mods and mucking around finally got to track today. I have plenty of fuel!!. Too much. :-)
This is a luxury, after starving for fuel. Now I need to dial it back. I tweeked the CP multiple times at the track and finally got to around 11.5 AFR at 6000 rpm. Don't know what my CP is now (didn't have the gauges with me), but guessing 4+ bar.
So, my query is , what is the best way to dial the fuel back. I re calibrated the FD again after finding extra fuel, and each calibration I cut the fuel back to equalise the aberrant numbers - ie I dialled the FD back. But I was wary of unscrewing the adjusters too far. Can't remember how the inside of the FD works - but worried they may unscrew completely.
Is it acceptable to just keep increasing CP, irrespective of where it gets to, as long as I get decent AFR numbers? Or should I be trying to cut the fuel back via the FD?
Oh happy days.
The beast is flying. Finally.
I would like to get it up around 12.5AFR at the top end. I can happily run 1 bar at 12.5.
Thanks
Alan

set your WCP for spec
set your mixture for spec with the allen
adjust your boost CP for ON boost AFR.

if your boost CP is getting too hi then put the screen back in the FD and start over. (that will be an easy way to restrict flow)

or, try raising the WCP a little, then set mixture then boost CP. might give you more range for BCP.

glad to hear things are going your way.
must be nice to have easy access to track.

Yes, I thought afterwards of trying to restrict boost dump. Will give that a shot. I don't think I can afford to fit the screen back in the FD. It cut out so much fuel. For sure my excess fuel is the extra 400cc/min without the screen. I will check my WP, and see how far out of spec. But I am close to the tuneable range without the screen. I think I will struggle with it back in.
Track access not that easy. Nearest track about 2 1/2 hrs away (closer would be nice) and over a 2nd gear slog mountain range. They have a track Testing day for race cars about once a month. It really is the only way to test it. Sneaking around on the hway just doesn't cut it really.
But it is running real nice. Turbo feels good and power all the way. Feels awesome. more to come if I can tune it slightly better.
Patrick - the link doesn't work.
Regards
Alan

check your BCP now that you are back home.
raise it about .2 bar. that may be all you need and leave everything else alone.
drive it again and see what you get.

JUST finished. My WP was 4.3 bar as suspected. My boost drop was down to 3 bar.
I have dropped WP to 3.8 and boost to 3.3.
We should be ready to rock.
Thanks for the help.
Alan
