Hey Miguel glad you're still lurking around!
Turbopalooza reboot would be awesome! I hear the Smokies are getting so crowded that you can't do much of anything but sit in traffic. Be neat to find a venue somewhere a bit off the beaten path.

Car and driver back in the 80s had some roads in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas as in the top 10 fun roads to drive plus there are things to do like Branson and Eureka springs

It's Centrally located in the US, it might be a good place for a turbopalooza. http://ozarklakes.clubexpress.com/content.aspx. This is the club that holds the porschepalooza Last edited by turbo owner; 03-06-2018 at 06:18 PM.. |

Closet here... but remain infected with no remedy in sight. Collection of parts and a 69 chassis to make a 930 imposter, slowly going together.

As you can see from my Join Date I've been here off and on for years, but the last few, more off than on. The air cooled scene has certainly "aged."
But! I am building a new motor for my RSR-- it will basically be a GT2 EVO-esque motor that will put it back in 1995 BPR / LeMans config. Hopefully I'll get some pics from the shop and post them here.

Turbopalooza get together , I'm in if it's centrally located. Putting 1000 miles on the car wouldn't be an issue. I'm trying to dig up that photo of all of us at that biker hangout ( not the blue oyster ) during the 1st get together.

I'm with you, I'd do the 1000 miles round trip. As Brian mentioned above the Smokies are not the same, the Arkansas/Missouri area sounds good... November sounds too far out

Yes I live just north of there and November is not a good month for that area they tend to get a lot of snow and freezing rain down there April to June is not real good either because of the severe weather threat during those times I would recommend late July to early September as the best times later than that you get tons of leaves on the roads and that can make spirited driving real interesting.

Good i'm glad it's running fine. my issue is i got transfered and have been spending all my spare time and most of my money on the new house. I did finallly get all the machine work done. and the garage far enough along to start putting things together once i'm back home from the spring outage season. still stuff in boxes i havent found like my factory turbo manual that has all the info for replacing the and seeting up the diferential wiring diagrams etc. plus i have EFIparts all over the place in boxes not sure what some of it's for now it's been in boxes so long.

So I will be down in that area several times this summer early so if you guys decide you want to do this then let me know maybe I can take a road trip and scope some roads out. I will be mainly around Branson but I might be able to talk the wife into going down to Eureka Springs also
