-71 T oil pump

Hi All, I'm currently restoring my -71T engine. It will be done to more or less stock spec.

1) Can I use my original oil pump or would you suggest an upgrade?
2) If I use my original pump. What kind of overhaul would you suggest? Is there kits available?

Thanks for any input

oil pump

If your pump is in good shape no problem. If you are upgrading to pressure fed tensioners you may want to upgrade. They drop your pressure a bit at idle and the oil warning light may flicker.Fred

Thanks Fred,
I'm not doing the pressure fed tensioners upgrade. I will just install the collapse stops.

So, what do I do to overhaul the pump?
