996.2 master link timing chain
Hey all,
i have built plenty of air cooled mills but this is my first water cooled motor (yuk). I am rebuilding a 996 3.6 3 chain motor with a snapped cam chain. Looks like a scavenge pump seized and snapped one chain. I have it torn down to the case now and everything else checks out with minimal damage that i car repair at this point. Am i chasing a unicorn to ask if there is a master link chain that I can install without splitting the case? TIA, Scott

Have you determined what caused the scavenge pump to jam? Usually something floating around the motor that requires a complete disassembly.....
