GT3 crank in a 3.0 SC engine

Hi all.

I have some questions regarding using a GT3 crank in a 3.0SC engine togheter with the tailored 3.2 RSR Mahle p/c kit for the 3.0SC engine:

- what kind of rods must be used
- can the 3.0SC rods be used and if so what must be done to make them fit.

Cheers

3.0SC rod will hit the oil pump with the GT3 crank. Too much material would have to be removed from the oil pump so the best bet is aftermarket rods with a flatter end cap for better clearance.

While the GT3 crank will bolt into a SC case and has the same main and crank big end dimensions as SC, the difference in stroke (70.4 vs 76.4) requires requires different pistons with different pin heights. A set of P&C designed to go in a SC engine will not work with a 76.4 stroke GT3 crank.
