Sweet.
So... 66mm for a 3.0/3.2 case? Correct? If one was to go 66x98 to get a 3.0SS (or is it super short stroke?) what kind of rpm range could one achieve? The question to me is what does it take to get heads to flow enough air to support the rpm and what cam will utilize the flow.

Mine arrived yesterday. Thank you, Henry!!!
![]() I wanted to build a motor for my '70 Coupe and felt pretty strongly that whatever I built, I wanted to retain the short-stroke character. I also wanted strength and a bit of peace of mind that can be challenging to achieve with a mag case. Fortunately, I happen to have a disassembled but low mile 3.0L I bought a few years ago from a retired Porsche mechanic friend of mine and the more I thought about it, the more sense Henry's SuperCrank seemed to make. My engine will surely be more tame than what is possible with this crank but the basic configuration I am leaning toward is 95mm ~10:1 pistons, Carrillo 130mm rods (or maybe GT3 Pankls), twin plug and DC65 cams which, I am told, make good power to 7500rpm. I believe this recipe would be safe to rev to 8000 on occasion. |

Extreme did the heads, DC90 cams and PMO 50mm (specs listed below) We nevr ran it on a dyno but the power was dropping quickly above 8500. We have 66mm 9 bolt cranks, 3.0, 3.2 and 3.6 case. We also built 70.4mm 6 bolt cranks. 2.0-2.7 cases. They also fit 2.8, 3.0 RSR cases and 3.0 Turbo cases. The 2.7 crank is really a horrible design so for those who what a replacement for the RSR crank, here it. is. Quote:

My signature has my company name in it.
Pelican prefers that I don't link my site being a competitor. Wayne and I had quite a battle over that. He kept changing my signature and I thought it was something I was doing wrong in the link. After being banned Wayne explained it. Those early days of the internet had me jumping...I was totally lost about the how and why of computer interaction and function.

Hello Henry, Have you had any made with conventional oiling, one main feeding a big end? or did you find the Porsche oiling system with the cross drill and grooving works best? Thanks

We believe in cross-drilling so we cross drill every crank we install. Taking that into consideration, of course all the custom cranks we have built are cross-drilled.
