I thought a would add a link to an engine we have for sale. It's an interesting opportunity for the right guy.

Hi Henry,
I'm working on a twin plug 2.8, oiled by your Massaged carrera pump, with MS 2 EFI / PMO itbs and 10.5 Je pistons, what diferences should i expect with the DC 43-102???
I'm fairly conservative with 37/35 porting, SSIs and single out scart.
Hopeing i haven't gone too far with the 43 cams - Mostly street, hypo driving and a few DE days/year,
chris

The cams will work [especially at WFO] but your challenge will be at idle and transition up to 3500-3750 rpm. It might struggle to take throttle.
It will basically run like a lumpy carbureted engine.

Oh, Henry! You have to admit that it is rather funny that you are promoting an engine you built with “993 Dilavar” head studs. After all, you said things about dilavar 993 TT heads like this:

“Dilavar studs should be banished from the lexicon of air-cooled engine building.”

“ That said, 993TT Delivar studs an inferior/ ridiculous design and I wouldn't use them in a stationary generator.”

“[993 TT head studs] are a monstrosity.”

Do you ever bring anything of value to any post... You're nothing more than a troll, and not especially clever one either.

I guess in your myopic little "race" world, it would be better to just throw the case away than consider a compromise in stud quality.....

Assuming the Dilavar studs are the fully threaded 993 Twin Turbo head studs, everything will be just fine.

It's still funny!!

That's right....it is funny that you believe your approval means anything.

It's still funny that you have to build an engine with head studs that you have labeled as "inferior", "ridiculous", a "monstrosity", and "should be banished from the lexicon of air-cooled engine building."

It's funny no matter how much you protest...actually, it gets funnier the more you protest!

I'm rolling on the floor laughing here because I know your head is about to explode....

Hey Scott,I hope you can drive better than you can speak. To bad you are one on the left coast or I would give you a driving lesson.I am on the right coast so it would be sad for you to bring a knive to a gunfight.Hey Kudos to your bravery with the motor from Mr Knight. He is a great builder and a strong supporter of all that is the Pelican crew.Ciao Fred

Fred,

Nah...I am clearly a terrible driver. I race against Factory race cars (911 GT3 Cup and 911 GT3R) so I am used to having a knife at a gunfight. But it sure is fun doing damage with that knife!

Come on, Jeff. Don’t you see the irony here? The man is dogmatic in his condemnation of Dilavar head studs saying he wouldn’t even use them in a stationary generator. Yet he comes on here advertising an engine with Dilavar head studs. I don’t care why he used them….that is beside the point. It’s funny!

All this thread does is point to another thread in the “For Sale” forum. So let’s not pretend I or anyone else is doing any harm.

Threads go "down the drain" because trolls got nothing, so they bring nutting.

It's like a heckler at a comedy club, clever only in their own mind.

Have some fun strolling down memory lane.

You are correct, absolutely no harm but what do you bring of value?

Nice veg, pickled carrots are wonderful.

Nice engine too. If my own build wasn't so far down the path I'd be in touch.
