I swab a little bit of Permatex Ultra Black around the copper gaskets before I torque down the heads. Haven't had leaks yet.

I just got the Wrightwood Racing gasket set. It did come with the RSR seals.

It also came with a mystery red o-ring and this chrome covered plastic thing. Any idea what they are?

The o-ring is 20mm ID by 2.6mm and the plastic thing is 50 ID x 63mm OD.
