Hi Trond
Can you elaborate / explain Post #54 from William Knight.
In this post he states: '"I have the rocker issue sorted out"
Thank you.

I sent you an email in response to your questions. I hope it helps.
I always hate seeing issues like this.
I don't understand why the vendors are not standing behind their products.
These issues are not about fault but there should always be some level of responsibility.

Mistakes can happen; I know of a fellow here, who paid very good money to have his rockers rebushed and refurbished by a very well known vendor. His rocker failed with one of the bushes actually coming loose from the rocker itself.

No one is perfect sadly.

Mistakes happen and there is also bad luck sometimes. Please consider this failure could well be related to the one substandard rocker arm that I supplied myself (single DP1120 rocker). Maybe that specific rocker did not like the combination of harder valve springs, hardwelded cam and more agressive cam profile. I now had two remarkably similar failures 2 years. Same cam manufacturer and both cams sets welded up, but different batches rockers. With the uncertainities and parts coming from here and there I am not blaming anyone, and certainly not the middle man who listened, specified and ordered cams made from new blanks. Based on the last 30 mins before noise developed it was an awesome setup for my engine configuration. First impressions were good power from 2000 and clear response to the resonance flap in intake opened at 5000. Then it started making noise. I'll move on

As I said, my comments were not about blame. They were about responsibility.
Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes perfectly good products fail. Mitigating loss and spreading out the pain is never a bad idea.
Fix the problem not the blame. This is not about others, it's just my personal perspective on customer relations.
