Welded and re ground rockers

I sent out my rockers to be re welded and re ground by I'm guessing a well-regarded company and I noticed they had this line in them on the ground surface when returned

This can be felt with my finger as well as visually, it is very subtle, cannot catch a fingernail or anything but it is noticeable. It's on every single rocker in the exact same spot

Has anyone ever seen this or experienced this? Gut feeling is telling me this is not ideal, hopefully some of the more experienced guys can chime in on this

If you can feel the anomaly, I would send it back. I have never used hard welded rockers (seems counter-intuitive unless the cams are hard welded) but it seems more and more companies are going that direction.
Cast irons rockers and cams are Chill cast so welding a chill cast part seems ugly.
When we rebuild rockers we cryo treat the rocker replicating the affects of chill casting. To each his own. "Many ways to skin a cat.... I say, leave the cat alone.

I'm with Henry , do not use them , and do not use them if they have been welded and the cams have not , different material and hardnesses .

I had DRC do mine when he ground my cams. The rocker faces were perfectly smooth and no visual marks like that.

Supertec rocker process includes DP4 bushings, pad resurface, dry film coating and cryogenic processing.

I have bought quite a few of Henry’s rockers. I think they are the best compared to the rest.
