New Porsche Owner Problems

I am new to owning a Porsche and things so far are not good. This is my second week with the car (911 1986 Porsche Carrera) and upon driving the car home today white-blue smoke cam pouring out of the exhaust. Not in the engine compartment just out of the exhaust. I believe that oil has found itself into the pistons or some other issue and need some help from veterans like yourselves tell assist me in what I should look for, do and ultimate bad news. I imagine the engine needs to be dropped and worked on and what does the average cost on this run? Any helpful suggestions?

Has the oil been changed or "topped off" lately? Jim

Very likely the oil was overfilled and went into the air intake. That's why Jim asked you about the oil. The 86 is a marvelous year. I've had 2 of them and I think you'll really enjoy it.

These cars often smoke when they have sat for the day/week. The orientation of the cylinders (flat) allows oil to pool over a period of time. Subsequently a lot of cars will blow smoke for a few miles... Nothing to worry about.

When the cars are cold they will smoke. Did you have a PPI done before you bought the car with leak downs? If you are really worried about it give my shop a call and we can assist you further.
