scored cylinder

I need a new cylinder,.. can't find one.. can I have the cylinder cleaned up and Nikasil coated back to spec? Or do I need to have all 6 bored and replated and go with new oversize pistons? Can someone recommend a place that can rework and re-plate?... maybe Dallas/Ft. Worth area?
thanks

You can get the cylinder re plated if it is not real bad. Give Stephen Kaspar an email...he did my cylinders not to long ago. You can be sure it will be done right! His email is porschephd@imagineauto.com tell him I sent you.

On an SC, the sealing ring groove at the top of the cylinder makes them unsuitable for boring out. I wonder if 3.3 cylinders have the same limitation.

Hummm.. don't know! Are you talking about the groove for the copper gasket that mounts to the case?

I mean the groove in the top of the cylinder that holds a sealing ring. The sealing ring was Porsche's way of better sealing the cylinder to head.
