Perfectbore cylinders: No Gasket?
I am assembling a set of new Perfect Bore 3.2 cylinders with my 3.0 heads that have been machined flat at the perimeter and "dished" a bit and twin-plugged. THe shop that does this is well known for their custom machine work and they had both the cylinders and heads (and pistons) to mock everything up before assembly.
I noticed there are no grooves in the Perfectbore cylinders. ![]() Is it acceptable to assemble them without any head gasket/sealing ring? All the engines I've done before used a sealing ring... Not much info on the Perfect Bore website... Thanks

Yep, pretty standard stuff. My 2.3 w/ Nickies is the same way. You'll notice Porsche ditched the CE rings on the 964, as well.
