Chain idler arms

A question regarding the upgrade to the wider style chain idler arms. Is there any issue with sourcing used arms as long as they have the proper part numbers or should I buy new?

Regards,

Wade

Pre-owned versions should be in good condition. Otherwise, if you have a budget and like new, go for it. There's a big price difference.

Third option might be Supertec tensioner arms.
Priced at 30% of retail and $150 less than the best internet price for factory items.

Anyone know if the supertec idler arms are still available?

I'm building a 79sc and the prices for OEM arms are triple the price of what is noted in Wayne's book.

Everything was stock and motor had about 110kms

We also have updated late, factory idler arms for less than 50% of new.
