Pulley seal at crank again

Someone some where said there is a "kit" or fix for this leak? I think they did..
Mine was bad.....I have epoxied around it..and it has been good for the last 3 years....Now it has gone BAD ! AGAIN !
Other then a new seal and a renewed epoxy attempt is there any other cure? (Besides splitting the case)

I remember seeing it last year. It was epoxy with a thick clamp that supported the epoxy against the case. The clamp went around the #8 bearing. Looked like it would work.

If my recollection is correct......

I believe this gadget (collar) was introduced by Tom Amon for fixing the oil leak coming out from the nose bearing without engine teardown. And a some people had good results from using this collar.

if it goes around the #8 bearing, then would'nt the case have to be split. Does the seal keep failing, or is the leak really happening at the case parting line near the seal?.

At the time i was uneducated...I belive there is a thicker "O" ring to be used..and I used the standard fair.
On top of that i dont think I siliconed it with the gel to help it keep free...it so bad the fan is sucking oil up and dwn onto the cylinders...just lazy...I dont want to split it ...but maybe i have to

Bullethole - the #8 bearing sticks out beyond the case some. Enough to attach something to its protruding OD.
