2.4 DC 30 Exhaust port size
 

I am currently putting together a 2.4 with JE 9.8:1, DC 30 motor with Weber 40's, single plug and stock valve train.

This will be a "fun street" motor with occasional track days in a 914-6.

2.4 T Heads are currently at Cgarr's for rebuild and Craig is taking the intakes out to 36mm. I will port match the intake side to those ports and the carbs.

The question: what say the experts (or the unwashed masses) about optimum exhaust port size??

I will be using stock 6 headers (I need heat here in western PA!!). I believe that stock MFI t exhausts are 33 mm ports. Not sure exactly what size the stock 6 headers are. I will measure tonight.
