cotton o-ring in 964 rebuild kit
Hello, I am rebuilding my 1991 964 Carrera, I have this cotton o-ring in 964 engine crank case gasket set rebuild kit, do you know where I install it at?

You sure that kit's for a 964? Note the gaskets for the sump plate you don't have. That felt washer goes in the pilot bearing.

I just looked at a picture of the Victor Reinz gasket set on the Worldpac site, and there's no felt washer. The oil pump seals are rubber/viton/whatever. It appears there's no pilot bearing seal, so that's out, at least for your car. Looks like the felt seal is used in the pilot bearing in some 911SCs, and the kit also is used for those cars. I think you can set it aside, along with the sump gaskets.

It's the same kit for several model years, whatever you are rebuilding you'll get some leftovers...

During my SC build I also noticed many "extra" parts with the Victor Reinz kit. I'm buying Wrightwood racing from now on.
