Drill hole for oil squirters
Hi,
I have a 2.2T with S-spec and Nikasil cylinders. Want to install oil squirters and do the oil-bypass I found a picture with an illustration of how the oil is routed. Is it just to drill a hole down do the passage for the bearing oil channel? ![]() I have a machine shop guy doing VW engines, so would like for a procedure of how to drill the holes for the squirters. Thanks

In my opinion use a machine shop that has done this before. It's not as easy as it looks. I did it locally once maybe 25 years ago and the squirters kept coming loose. I'm not going to recommend a machine shop to do it because there are many of them out there. My $.02 worth.

Ask cgarr here on the forums. He does all sorts of case machine work and can tell you how he retrofits squirters into older cases.
