I've been using PIAA bulbs in my bikes for decades & they are significantly brighter than stock. I read a report on their bulbs that rated the output & it wasn't double std. but it was higher, more like 90 watts. I have had great luck with them, bright & long lived & just plug & play. The stock light on my 1100S was scary dim on a dark backroad which the PIAA lit right up & is now 10-11 years old.
