Hey Folks at Pelican and everyone else:

I am thinking about adding an LSD to my 128i M-Sport. I was doing some research about how to do it, without spending thousands on a Quaiffe and came across the LSD that was released for the 2'er. Now, given there are some similarities between the 1'er and 2'er, would the LSD for the 2 fit on the one?

I can't confirm that they can be swapped. Our in-house BMW tech believes that the M235i isn't factory equipped with an LSD, the dealer installs/dealer add-on part and that would be big bucks if true and most likely more expensive than installing a Quaife.

LSDs are great performance additions. Do you track your 128i M-Sport at all?

The M235i has a factory LSD as an option, but, I will go out on a limb here and say that it will not work. There are however other LSD options, OS Giken, wavetrac, Dinan, and Quaife. If you want to retain your factory warranty have your dealership install the Dinan diff.
