Buttons on steering 328i e46 Bugging out - HELP!!!
 

I have a 1999 328i e46 with the mahogany trim. My buttons on the steering works when they want too. When it is illuminated it works, then it stops, and at times it just blinks. Any guess what I need to fix this?????

I have the same problem. This started 2 months ago out of the blue! also associated with that is the highbeam light goes off and the transmission warning (little gear) turns on. Tranny works fine, but still decided to do a fluid and filter change (oil was black), and is running great. What gives?

Steering wheel buttons bugging out
 

That makes three of us -- same exact problem. Radio control buttons and cruise control intermittently don't work, the transmission trouble light goes on, and the blue high beam indicator is either very dim or completely gone. I'll bet it's a bad electrical connection somewhere, but where?
