Please Help!!!

Ive only had my bmw 325i about a month and a half and for that amount of time i have found that i love it! Recently ive been hearing this whining noise at idle thats driving me up the walls. As i accelerate the noise seems to change with how hard im accelerating. It starts out as a whine and changes to a screeching noise at higher rpms, the guys on e46 forum dont know so im hoping someone on here will. https://plus.google.com/104416842017162986909/posts/ZYR5YJH5XUm

I agree, I'd check over bearings. Good images of pulleys at figure 1 here - BMW E46 Alternator Replacement | BMW 325i (2001-2005), BMW 325Xi (2001-2005), BMW 325Ci (2001-2006), BMW 325ti (2001-2004) | Pelican Technical Article

Would you say you hear it through your speakers or it's very apparent it's coming from the engine bay?

Probably the tensioner pulleys, take the drive belt off and see if the bearings are gone - loose and/or noisy when you spin the pulleys.

If its not these then maybe check the o ring in the radiator top hose - give the top hose a squeeze and seek if any coolant drips out. If it does its likely to drip onto the drive belt at the water pump/crankshaft pulleys. In sufficient quantities it can lubricate the belt and cause it the slip and squeal at high RPM.
