2008 BMW 328i sedan 4 door

ANYONE HAVE FUSE PANEL DIAGRAMS FOR 2008 328i 4 door automatic sedan? cant find anywhere on line shows only for E90 which is different fuse panel below glove box.

ALSO, can u use a handheld scanner to find out what MODULES are bad in the car or do u need to go to DEALER?

I've read your other posts and I am new to BMW ownership, but I know cars pretty well. I have a 2007 328i sedan that has some elec. gremlins that also I'm trying to resolve and here's what I've found that may be helpful to you.

1) Not sure if our fuse panels are the same, but there should be a piece of folded cardboard with a diagram on the inside of the fuse panel cover. If not, I'll be glad to take a pic. of mine and post. Maybe they're the same, dunno.

2) No idea about hand held scanners, but most independents these days have higher end scanners that should read most BMW codes- my buddy has one. If they can hook it up and move your sunroof and seats, they can probably see get most modules on the car. You don't have to go to a BMW dealer. My car has a few CAS codes.

3) A lot of your issues sound like battery to me. My battery is 3 y.o. and it checks out under load; although, it only shows ~ 12.4 V, but I also have head and brake lights staying on occasionally and some other annoying elec. issues. Other forums I've visited suggest these symptoms can be due to battery. Apparently, these cars/modules do weird things when they see low voltage and they don't like old batteries. I'm planning on replacing mine.

Sounds like you replace the battery before anything else and then go from there. It's possible some of this stuff will go away. My car could have come with one of 3 different batteries- another BMW quirk... You need to check the cranking amps and amp/hr rating and probably the dimensions on yours and then buy one with closest match, or so I've been told. (Note: you will need to get the new battery initialized to the car, again, an Indy with a good scanner can do this).

Thank you very much for your response..yes, this car is possessed..I just bought a new battery but originally (and still) the car has a no crank no start..when the guy jumped the battery in the rear trunk,, all hell broke loose..he also took out the CAS relay under glove(black 4 prong and thought it was starter relay and jumped with a wire in its slots..so im not sure but many said its the footwell module fried..also as i mentioned, my footwell module is an FRm2 with metal back and all rebuilders on line only rebuild FMR3 . I already removed it since i know how to work on cars a bit for a girl, but that battery is way to heavy!!

At any rate, i would really appreciate if you sent pics of those fuse papers..my car did not come with any..but for example..in fuse panel under glove, in slots #1-5, i only have one fuse in slot #4..so thats what my fuse panel looks like to begin with..some guys have sent me pics, but NONE of them match, although one came close and he only had the one fuse in spot #4.... if you can email me the pics (RNHIB@ATT.NET).

also, thank you..i'm going to replace battery soon but i cant lift it!!! I do think some electrical module must be bad after what the guy did..he didnt know the car well, and you are NEVER suppose to jump inside the trunk.

Thanks for your help..i'll fill you in and hope u have the same fuse panel..do u know if there is one in the trunk?? I cant find any others except white box under passenger hood toward windshield..i only had one blown fuse, but not sure if another fuse panel is in trunk.

HI WALT how did u get ur headlites to go off?? I got a new battery but someone said my footwell module might be bad..having a friend install new battery..
can u also send me a pic of your fuses under glove and what each one is for..im not sure if the pics will match my car..
PLEASE let me know how u got ur brakelites and headlites to shut off..MINE stay on with car OFF! WAITING to hear from u..thanks gail

ok fuse box blown replaced with used $45 junk yard box and started right up
cleared codes..runs ok now cna u send me pic of ur fusebox fuses? mine didnt come with pic in glovebox..thanks
