BRAKES - 2011 e93 N55
 

I have always changed my own BMW brakes (pads, rotors, sensors) when needed. From my e30's on ... However, my BMW mechanic has just told me not to attempt a DIY job on my wife's "new" 2011 e93 N55. He says there are too many new sensors, codes, etc. that can be thrown-off by a driveway mechanic such as myself. Other than not having a code tool to reset the dashboard electronics ... is there a reason for me to give up DIY brake jobs on this car ? None of the parts, or diagrams look scary to me ... what am I missing ?
