I ran across a 1993 E36 BMW 325i this past week. It looks to be in good shape overall, but I have not driven it yet. The owner says the car has 230k miles, but the replacement engine has 85,000 miles on it. He says he has papers on the replacement engine, but I have not seen them yet.
The drivers seat is in fair to poor condition, but the remainder of the interior is fine. The car has new shocks and fairly new Goodyear tires (w/ BMW five spoke rims). This 325i is black -- and the paint is good. I'm considering the '93 325i for a daily commuter and project car. I would appreciate opinions on whether the car is worth a second look at $3500.00 (asking price). My experience with BMW ownership is limited to a 2000 328i, which I traded a year ago. THANKS! hey Charlie, I bought my 92 325i for 3,000 and probably wouldn't go higher for the 93. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU TEST DRIVE IT - YOU'RE OUT FOR AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR TO 45 MIN. The next day when I brought mine home, the trans fault light came on and its been a huge piece of **** since!!
