Spec 30 vs. Spec Miata?

I raced Spec Miata a few years and lost interest. Just can't get too excited about racing such a slow car despite its great handling. Sooo, I'm looking to get back into the racing scene, but wanting something different. I've always liked the e30, Dad had an e30 M3 in my auto-formative years. Anyone know how the 325 compares to SM? It's faster, right? Costs of getting up and running, and staying running? Thanks.

Smellvue? I'm guessing you mean Tacoma!
The Spec e30 is a NASA series not run in the NW yet. There is however, PRO3 racing for 325's. Open suspension, stock motors, I think there about 20 running this year. They also are excellent cars for the two 8 hour endurance races at PIR and PR.
Check www.unofficialbmw.com for details (the site admin, Dale B races one of these and has some great articles written in the racing section.)
