New Cams with supercharger?
I have a 2004 330ci with AA twin screw supercharger, headers and exhaust. Also a 3:64 diff. I am thinking of putting in new cams and wondered if anyone has had experienced this scenario? AA says it would be fine but I would like to hear from someone who has done this and can tell me if was worth the money.
AA is claiming 30-40 hp gain. Any thoughts? |

30 - 40 hp gains? Try 100 +
You may want to go to the Alpine or DINAN website and see what upgrades they recommend for your motor. I owning a 4.0L supercharged, different cams, bigger injectors, more voluminous fuel pump, (414 hp vs 283 stock ponies), 6 spd, different trans gears, limited slip differential, flow through exhaust, different fuel management software, bigger brake kit and completely revamped suspension can only say WOW, this old 540 will out run my Porsche on any track anytime, any day. If you are mechanically inclined I am certain you can perform these upgrades over time and really inexpensively if you are patient and can wait for the right deal to come along. Happy motoring
